PESHAWAR: Condemning the Peshawar massacre, British boxer Amir Khan on Monday said targeting children is a clear act of terror, Express News reported.

Addressing a press conference outside the Army Public School in Peshawar, the world's famous boxer expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of the victims as he visited the site of the attack.

"It is the duty of Pakistan to boost the confidence of these young sufferers," Khan added.

Earlier in the day, the boxer also met Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi.

"What has taken place in Peshawar is absolutely horrific and sickening," the WBC welterweight world champion had told a news conference in Islamabad last week. "After recently becoming a father myself, I can't imagine how the families of these innocent children are feeling."
